In the run-up to the highly anticipated Lok Sabha Elections of 2024, the Mahayuti alliance is embroiled in intense negotiations over seat-sharing arrangements, while the spectre of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) looms large, adding another layer of complexity to Maharashtra`s political landscape.
The Mahayuti, a coalition of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Shiv Sena-led by Eknath Shinde and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has been in protracted talks to finalise the allocation of constituencies among its members. The complex process of seat-sharing has emerged as a vital point in the alliance`s electoral strategy, with each party aiming for maximum representation while retaining coalition unity.
