A 45-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Bhiwandi in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-one-day-old-child-dies-after-being-abandoned-in-bushes-in-kalyan-23248362" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Maharashtra</a>`s <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-four-of-family-suffer-burn-injuries-in-blaze-at-home-23248360" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> district on Saturday afternoon, a police official said.
The victim, identified as Savita Salve, is a civic employee, the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/thane-hearing-in-rss-defamation-case-against-rahul-gandhi-adjourned-till-december-3-23248359" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Bhiwandi</a> Town police station official said.

"Some persons came to her home and stabbed her to death. A police team is at the site and efforts are on to nab the accused," Senior Inspector CR Kakade said.
