Palghar: Man held for killing live-in partner over marriage insistence

A 22-year-old woman was reportedly strangled to death by her live-in partner in Maharashtra`s Palghar district after she insisted on marrying him. The culprit, a 26-year-old man called Minazuddin Abdul Ajij Mulla, was captured in West Bengal, where both the victim and the accused were from, days after the murder was found.
The crime was revealed on March 15 when the woman`s decaying body was discovered in a rented room in Dahanu, Palghar district. The case was initially considered an accidental death, but after the autopsy showed death by strangling, it was transformed into a murder inquiry, reported PTI.
