Navi Mumbai: Man booked for raping woman

The woman told Navi Mumbai police that the accused called her to his home under the guise of providing her financial help and raped her.

Navi Mumbai Police has registered a case against a man for allegedly raping a 33-year-old woman on the pretext of providing her with financial help, police said.
The official from Panvel Police station told PTI that based on the woman`s complaint, they filed a case under Section 376 (rape) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code against the accused, aged 53. The official said that the accused has not been arrested yet.
