Navi Mumbai cops arrest 23-year-old with MDMA worth Rs 5.5 lakh

In a recent operation, the Navi Mumbai police`s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) nabbed a 23-year-old guy in possession of 22 grammes of MDMA, worth an estimated Rs 5.50 lakh. The arrest occurred near a hotel gate in the Koparkhairne neighbourhood of Navi Mumbai, following a tip-off received by ANC authorities on Monday evening.
The accused, a resident of Kausa in the Mumbra area of Thane district, was apprehended during the operation, and the collected material was identified as MDMA, also known as Ecstasy. A case has been filed against the individual under the applicable sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
