Mumbai: Man allegedly rapes, assaults daughter-in-law; 5 booked

A woman in the eastern suburb of Ghatkopar in Mumbai has filed a harrowing complaint of alleged rape by her father-in-law, along with accusations of harassment by four other family members, according to local authorities.

A woman in the eastern suburb of Ghatkopar in Mumbai has filed a harrowing complaint of alleged rape by her father-in-law, along with accusations of harassment by four other family members, according to local authorities.
According to the PTI report, following the complaint, the police registered a case on Saturday, invoking section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code against the woman`s father-in-law. Additionally, an offence under relevant provisions of the IPC was filed against the four other family members accused of subjecting her to dowry-related harassment.
