Mumbai: Boss hits junior with clock for failing to meet sales target

Anand Singh said his other colleagues rushed him to Shatabdi hospital

A Man from Borivli has accused his boss of smashing a table clock on his head for failing to meet his monthly target of selling health insurance plans. Complainant Anand Hawaldar Singh, 30, told the police that he received multiple stitches because of the injury. The Borivli cops have registered an FIR against Anand’s 35-year-old manager Amit Surendra Singh. 

Anand said he has been working as an associate cluster manager with a health insurance company since last year. He has been asked to sell health insurance schemes of a bank. However, he missed his target of bringing in businesses worth R5 lakh in September.
