Maha tops country in rioting cases in 2022, ranks 3rd in murders & 4th in rapes

Maharashtra has recorded as many as 8,218 cases of rioting in 2022, the highest in the country for the year, revealed the data released by the National Crime Records Bureau

Maharashtra has recorded as many as 8,218 cases of rioting in 2022, the highest in the country for the year, revealed the data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
The report said that Maharashtra ranked second (after Uttar Pradesh) in the registration of criminal cases under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
