Killer Constable Chetan Singh Chaudhary, the accused
The charge sheet filed by the Borivli Government Railway Police (GRP) reveals that Chetan Singh Chaudhary, a dismissed Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, meticulously planned and carried out the cold-blooded killing of four individuals on a moving train on July 31. The 1,206-page charge sheet includes statements from 150 witnesses, including passengers of the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express.
GRP officers have recorded statements from three witnesses before the Borivli magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Chaudhary has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including murder (302) and promoting enmity between different groups (153-A) as well as relevant provisions of the Railways Act and the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
