In addition to layering on sunscreen, it’s also important to protect yourself from dehydration. “Dehydrated skin looks flaky, red and dull. It can also feel itchy and taut,” explains Dr Niketa Sonavane, a cosmetic dermatologist at Ambrosia Aesthetics. Dehydrated hair is brittle, thin and more prone to breaking. She recommends following a few basic steps.
