Young generation is challenging the dating standards and exploring newer ways of finding love and companionship. To dig deeper into understanding the dating patterns of young Indians, the online dating app QuackQuack conducted a poll to take a closer look. According to 46 per cent of the total 12,000 survey participants from tier 1 and 2 cities, wearing rose-tinted glasses is a thing of the past. The new-age dating individuals look at people, especially potential romantic partners, from the more rational red flag and green flag angle. Participants of the survey are both working professionals and students.
QuackQuack`s founder and CEO, Ravi Mittal, commented, "A large chunk of our 25 million users is between the 18 to 28 age group, and we see a huge difference in the way they choose matches or choose to advance with their matches. Rationale and practicality go hand in hand for the GenZ daters. They are more conscious about whom they date, and we notice them thinking critically, unlike most Millennials who think emotionally."
Scratch love at first sight
There`s a distinct difference between how GenZ and millennials approach and handle love. The GenZs don`t believe in the concept of love at first sight. It can only be a mere attraction if it is based on the first appearances, as demonstrated by 21 per cent of GenZ from Tier 1 cities.
