Each garment was a vision of design innovation, as a mix of silhouettes both simple or complex, traditional, or fusion that appeared in quick succession in the show. Garg’s fashion sensibilities took on an unconventional path this season, as he unveiled ensembles that will prove to be timeless heirlooms and beautifully compliment the Lakme Glitterati collection.

The collection included innovations in textiles, including brocade imparting a sense of knitwear, kaleidoscopic weaves and an incredible range of glittering metallics.

The grand show of Lakme Glitterati with Raw Mango’s ‘The Children of the Night’ collection was made even more special with Karisma Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Saba Azad spotlighted on the runway.

Kapoor made quite the fashion statement sporting the unconventional metallic gold and black pant-suit. She opted for a smokey eye and nude make-up look. The actress completed the look with a half-up, half-down hairdo.

Koechlin made a rather elegant appearance wearing a one-shoulder silver blouse and unique black saree having a modern look. She paired the outfit with a black circular-shaped flat clutch. Her hair was slightly tied up to form a puffy look at the front. Koechlin too opted for a nude make-up look.

Saba Azad lit up the runway by wearing a glittery pantsuit. To match the outfit, she opted for golden-glittered eye make-up, a rose pink lipstick and blush. She had her hair tied up. Azad completed the look with a small silver bag. What is worth noticing is that all three celebrities wore no accessories besides the clutches.

The iconic Lalbaugcha Raja idol was shifted onto a raft on Sunday afternoon after delays since morning due to high tide and technical challenges, with final immersion, delayed by several hours, expected to take place around 11 pm, officials said.
