In the world of makeup, smoky eyes have remained a timeless classic that refuses to go out of style, considering how well they pair with most evening looks. And while recent iterations have experimented with colour and finish, few have been as dramatic as the eye look recently debuted at EFTYCHA’s show at London Fashion Week. This look, created by makeup artist Becca Wordingham, was reminiscent of bleeding ink on blotting paper and so, has been appropriately dubbed the bleeding smoky eye.
“Your goal is essentially to blend your eyeshadow to create the illusion of the colours bleeding. Colours that best accentuate this effect are smoky grey, black and dusty brown. You’ll also need a few basic products: black gel liner, black kohl liner, black or dark grey matte eye-shadow and two small make-up brushes – one for packing on the product and the second for blending,” explains make-up artist Sneh Sharma.
