About 96 per cent of Indians are aware of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including generative AI platforms like Google Gemini (formerly Bard) and ChatGPT, but 81 per cent researchers and clinicians in the country stress increasing transparency, while a 71 per cent call for building up trust, according to a report on Wednesday.
The report by Elsevier titled The ‘Insights 2024: Attitudes toward AI’ is based on a survey of 3,000 researchers and clinicians from 123 countries who show willingness to use AI in their daily work. It showed that they believe in AI`s high potential in research and healthcare but demand transparency and trust.
