As per the data presented by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, more than 10,000 companies have shut down business between April 2020 and February 2021, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns. This disruption in economic activities has been nationwide and the most affected have been the employees, who have had to let go of their livelihood, putting their families’ survival in jeopardy. In this dismal scenario, companies like Kamal Associates, well-known Delhi builders, have come to the rescue by opening up their vacancies and launching a hiring process.
Talking about why he felt the need to start hiring now, when the market is so uncertain, one of the youngest builders in Delhi, Pulkit Vij of Kamal Associates, says, “Covid-19 has been really hard on people who have lost their jobs during this pandemic. I have personally come across such cases where unemployed men and women were facing a life and death question. So, when the market has started to look up now, it sounded just right to open vacancies in our firm and the hiring process has already begun.” Through Facebook and other online mediums, the Kamal Associates scion is looking for new recruits to expand his business.
