Women all over the world, regardless of their social or economic background, are moving forward and realising their potential and that`s what I see as our country`s future.

International Women`s Day to me means acknowledging the women throughout history that have paved the way so that women like me can achieve their dreams. Women all over the world, regardless of their social or economic background, are moving forward and realising their potential and that`s what I see as our country`s future.
The future of women can only change if we stop judging ourselves and our bodies. The whole concept of body shaming comes from the fact that throughout history, women have been asked to behave in a certain manner because that is demanded by society. The future of women in this country is changing as women are taking charge of their body image and making their own rules. Being empowered means being comfortable with your own self-worth. It doesn’t have to necessarily mean rejecting traditions or alienating yourself from society. Power comes from within, just like how Durga maa had her own standing and space in Shiva’s life, you can find your power and your standing within yourself.
