Ever since the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer’s trailer dropped on Wednesday, it has faced a backlash on social media for “depicting Tamil Nadu in a negative light.”

The Naam Tamilar Katchi has warned of “dire consequences” if `The Family Man 2` that “tries to misrepresent Tamils” was released on June 4. Party leader Seeman has alleged in a statement that the Amazon Prime Video series “portrays the LTTE as terrorists and Tamils as vicious. A Sri Lankan Tamil woman has been portrayed as a militant.” Ever since the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer’s trailer dropped on Wednesday, it has faced a backlash on social media for “depicting Tamil Nadu in a negative light.”
For the uninitiated, Samantha Akkineni plays a terrorist, who talks about a “hostage situation” in Chennai. “Tamil people are not terrorists. We love peace, don’t project us as terrorists,” wrote a social media user. The Manoj Bajpayee-starrer drops next month.
