"I’m that Girl you’ve seen somewhere but can’t remember where," reads Wamiqa Gabbi`s Instagram bio. The actress who started her big screen career with a small role in Imtiaz Ali`s hit film `Jab We Met` in 2007 has 2.7 millions followers on the gram. From Punjabi cinema to Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema, the actress has worked in movies across languages over the years. This year, Gabbi shone with her performance on OTT platforms that introduced her to a wider audience.
Earlier this year, Wamiqa Gabbi played the pivotal role of Nilofer in Vikramaditya Motwane`s series `Jubilee`. The series takes us through the period just before and after Indian independence and the changing dynamics of the Hindi film industry set in Bombay. Wamiqa essayed the role of a struggling actress who falls for Jay Khanna, a struggling filmmaker. Her nuanced act as Nilofer Qureshi introduced her to a larger audience.
