The Forgtten Army starred Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari Wagh, and is based on true events about the Indian National Army (INA) led by Subhash Chandra Bose. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the web series that streamed on Amazon Prime Video brought to the fore the journey and sacrifice of the INA from its soldiers` point of view.
Sunny Kaushal, in a recent exclusive interview with mid-day`s Mohar Basu, spoke about his prep for the show and the response he got from critics and the audience. When asked if he spoke to someone who was from the INA as part of the prep, Kaushal said, "I would have loved to, but the thing was I only had a week to start shooting. I had just finished shooting for Gold, and I had to cut all my beard and hair and everything in that week. That week also included our physical training and boot camp. I had to look like a soldier to behave like a soldier."
