Back in 2008, Hina Khan first auditioned for the popular singing reality show `Indian Idol`. She managed to come in the top 30 before getting eliminated

During her college days in Delhi, Khan auditioned for the show `Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai` after her friends forced her to do it. She got selected and shifted to Mumbai to make her television debut. She started playing the role of Akshara Singhania, a n ideal daughter-in-law, daughter and wife since 2009. In 2017, Hina stepped into the world of reality shows as a participant of `Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi`. She became the first runner-up on the show. In the same year, she also participated in Bigg Boss 11 as celebrity contestant. She got the first runner-up spot on the show.
