Whenever we speak of doctors, a sense of fear accompanies us. But, little did we know that the perspective towards medical practitioners would change completely after Dill Mill Gayye. Headlined by Karan Singh Grover and Shilpa Anand along with an ensemble, the show was about a group of medical interns who join Sanjeevani, a hospital, with the hope to become the best doctors in town.
Have you ever wondered what set Dill Mill Gayye apart from the rest of the shows in the early 2000s? Well, you can certainly say that Dr. Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) and Dr. Riddhima (Shilpa Anand/Sukirti Kandpal/Jennifer Winget) were one of the several factors that made the show iconic. Back then, when Indian television was flooded with melodramatic saas-bahu daily soaps, Dill Mill Gayye came across as a breath of fresh air. Without overloading the audience with heavy medical terms and grim situations, it struck the right balance with an adequate amount of thrill, humour, drama and of course, romance that made the toughest person blush.
