Having &nbsp;started her career at the age of seven, Anchal Sahu, now 16, has already bagged her third show as the lead after Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye and Barrister Babu. She has been roped in to play a &ldquo;reserved, shy, simple girl [which] is stark opposite to the hyperactive characters I&rsquo;ve played previously,&rdquo; says the actor, who will be seen as one of the leads in Ekta Kapoor&rsquo;s Parineetii.

The show revolves around two soul sisters &mdash; Parineet and Neeti &mdash; who are different from each other. One has big dreams, while the other is not so ambitious. Where one is reserved, the other is outgoing. Fate puts them in a situation where they end up getting married to the same person. Sahu, who has just started shooting for the daily soap, will be playing bestie to Tanvi Dogra. She says, &ldquo;It has [barely been] 10 days. I am a little introverted and never one to approach someone first. Tanvi is always so cheerful, and we have become good friends [on set], laughing and doing scenes together. I love her vibe.&rdquo; The actor had hoped to take a break post Barrister Babu. But when offers came calling, Sahu couldn&rsquo;t refuse.
The actor credits her family for always being supportive of her choices and pushing her in the right way. &ldquo;It was my parents&rsquo; and naanu&rsquo;s [maternal grandfather] wish to see me become an actor. They steered me in the right direction and today I have found something I love.&rdquo; But the road was not always easy, she asserts. &ldquo;It has been a wholesome journey for me, with a lot of struggles and rejections. I used to go for auditions [all day despite] being shy to face the camera. It was so difficult to find [an inroad] into the industry.&rdquo;
