`Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah` actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who plays Nattu kaka, has resumed shooting for the comic caper. This comes after he revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer. Nayak, who is undergoing chemotherapy, was back on the set after four months. He is keen to work as long as he can. “Being on the set gives me joy,” he said.
In December, it was reported that Nayak was unwell. The senior actor was having severe uneasiness in the glands of his neck and had undergone surgery for the same. Talking about it in an interview he had said, "It has been 12 long years with Asit Kumarr Modi’s team of Taarak Mehta. I have worked so hard on the character of Natukaka that everyone on the road recognises me as Natukaka and nothing else. It will be impossible to accept any other project and I don’t feel the need. I am happy enacting the role of Natukaka because my character got immense love and audiences connected with it. After my surgery, it was only because of God’s blessings that I could get back to work and am thankful that audiences could see me again.”
