Rashami Desai makes her web debut, alongside Tanuj Virwani, in Tandoor. The Dil Se Dil Tak and Naagin 4 actor plays an aspiring politician in the series directed by Nivedita Basu, who has also produced the show along with Chitra Vakil Sharma and Chandni Soni. “My character, Palak, is a smart, intelligent and fierce woman,” says Desai. The web series went on floors soon after the lockdown restriction was lifted in Maharasthra and the government had given a green signal for shootings to resume. And Sharma revealed that though it was challenging, they were able to finish the shoot with zero cases on the sets.
Sharing her experience, she said, "We started shooting right after the COVID lockdown was lifted and the industry was still resuming. We planned a 14 days stringent shoot with lots of precautions and I had to ensure COVID-19 stays at bay from my set. We had to ensure there were no COVID cases on the set and sticking to the timelines was only possible as we managed to do our pre-production extremely well."
