Overnight, Ssharad Malhotra has got decades off his age. He has gone from being 50 to 25 in Ekta Kapoor's Kasam Tere Pyar Ki. Leaps are commonplace on the small screen, but instead of growing older, the makers have now decided to restore his youthfulness. From playing a father, he is now playing his son.

He says, "The show's earlier leap had me grow old. I am back to playing a youngster. Now, I am a football champ, Ranbir Kapoor, from Canada. My previous character, Rishi Singh Bedi, 50, had donated a sperm. Ranbir is the offspring. I am lucky to play my own son."
