Newlyweds Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar left for their honeymoon on Wednesday, just a day before the singer and reality show contestant’s birthday. Rahul had been shooting for Rohit Shetty’s adventure reality show- Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, while Disha has been shooting for her daily soap, Ekta Kapoor’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 opposite Nakuul Mehta. The singer, who turns 34 today, tells midday.com all about his plans in the nation of islands, the Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 finale and his thoughts about Disha’s serial.
Excerpts from an exclusive interview
How do you plan to celebrate your birthday in the Maldives and how did you decide on the destination?
Both of us have been overworked and it’s time to take a much needed break. I just plan to switch off my phone and enjoy being off work. We had always planned to club our honeymoon and my birthday. Maldives is closer than any other place in the world, so it would save us travel time, which is why we agreed on the destination mutually. I just plan to sit by the beach and relax all day.
