Shireen Mirza known for her role as Simi from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, married Hasan Sartaj at her hometown, Jaipur last week. Her co-stars including Divyanka Tripathi, Aly Goni, Krishna Mukherjee and others were present on her big day. The newlywed speaks to mid-day.com about the wedding and honeymoon plans.
Tell us all about the wedding and how you planned it?
It’s been a crazy week but thankfully government guidelines have been eased down, so it was a bit easier to manage the preparations. Rajasthan is famous for destination weddings and I belong to the state, so we thought it`s best to explore the place. I chose a venue surrounded by the Aravali hills, Kundan Van in my hometown Jaipur. We managed to get the best Rajasthani and Mughlai food, so the Delhi people who attended could get a taste of the local cuisine. A lot of my friends flew down from Mumbai and they too had a great experience. The entire cast of YHM was there. We didn’t have internet access in Rajasthan on my wedding day, but Aly was with me throughout. Divyanka and the other girls did their bridesmaid duty perfectly.
