Balika Vadhu fame Avinash Mukherjee to play lead role in Sasural Simar Ka 2

Best remembered for playing the younger version of Jagya in Balika Vadhu, Avinash Mukherjee has landed the lead role in the upcoming second season of Sasural Simar Ka. The show, starring Avika Gor and Dipika Kakar, premiered in 2011 and ran for eight years. The new outing will have a fresh cast, which is being finalised. Mukherjee, who also featured in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, is bulking up for the role.
The actor in a recent interview had talked about how Balika Vadhu had changed his life. "I wouldn`t have wished for a better acting school than Balika Vadhu, the experience which I have received has helped me immensely. I spent the first few years on sets researching and learning about acting in between shots and simultaneously and also started learning about camera, camera angle and the lenses which are used. What are wide camera lenses, what are tele lenses, then about scripts, characters, music, screenplay?" shared the actor.
