Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most widely recognised and loved actors in India. Having started her film career in 2010 with the Telugu film `Ye Maaya Chesave`, the actress has come a long way since then. Over the years, she was featured in several Telugu and Tamil films. However, her role as the female lead was limited in the films which were largely narrated from the perspective of male characters. She still managed to shine with limited roles and in due time got recognition for her talent and was able to show her versatility on screen.
In the past couple of years, Samantha shone in projects with her performance. From `Oh Baby` in Telugu where she shouldered the film as the protagonist to playing an antagonist in `The Family Man` season 2, Samantha has started portraying her potential as a performer.
