Rajinikanth touches UP CM Yogi Adityanath's feet as they meet in Lucknow

Rajinikanth is setting the box office on fire with his recently released Tamil film, Jailer. It released on August 10 in theaters globally. While fans are going gaga over the film, the Tamil superstar hosted a special screening of Jailer for Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.
On Saturday, Rajinikanth met Yogi Adityanath at the BJP leader’s residence. In a viral video, the 72-year-old Thalaiva was seen greeting the 51-year-old politician with a namaste. The superstar also bowed down and touched the feet of the UP CM. This gesture left the internet divided. While some weren`t pleased with the fact that Rajinikanth touched the feet of Adityanath who is younger in age and experience, a section of people defended the superstar by saying he sought blessings because the politician is also the Mahant of Gorakhnath Math.
