Actor Siddharth was recently in Bengaluru for the promotions of his upcoming Tamil film `Chithha`. The actor was forced to leave a press conference at the city`s SV theatre by members of a pro-Kannada group called Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Swabhimani Sene.
In videos doing the rounds on social media, a group of protesting men entered the venue as Siddharth was talking to the media. The protestors asked Siddharth to leave as he was promoting a Tamil film among Cauvery dispute between the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They also told the organisers of the press conference to end the event immediately in support of the ongoing Cauvery protest. A protester said, “We are fighting here and the Cauvery water is going to Tamil Nadu. And he is promoting the film, do you guys want this?”
