On Wednesday, it was announced that Akshay Kumar will play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar`s magnum opus, `Veer Daudale Saat.` The surprise announcement came at an event held in Mumbai, where Akshay made a sudden entry, joining the rest of the film`s team on stage. Salman Khan too made his presence felt.
The event was also attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.
