Santa Clara renamed ‘Swiftie Clara’ in tribute to Taylor Swift being named mayor

Taylor Swift`s phenomenal success reaches new heights with her sold-out Eras Tour and the re-release of her 2010 album, Speak Now. The undeniable cultural impact and devoted fanbase of the 33-year-old pop star are evident in her world tour. Now, Santa Clara has proclaimed Swift as its honorary mayor, renaming the city as Swiftie Clara in celebration of her upcoming two-night concert at Levi`s Stadium on July 28 and 29, 2023.
This marks Swift`s third visit to Santa Clara, following her 1989 World Tour in 2015 and the Reputation Tour in 2018. The temporary renaming aims to acknowledge and celebrate the profound influence of this exceptional artist while putting the spotlight on the city itself. The official proclamation states that it intends to recognize the positive local impact of Taylor Swift`s music, tours, and devoted fanbase on the Santa Clara community and the broader region.
