While television programmes being adapted into movies is not a new trend, it’s interesting to see that a lot of iconic movies are slowly making their way into television series. The challenge with making one out of a movie that is already out there, is to make it compelling enough for viewers to want to watch more, apart from re-casting existing characters. Surprising then, that most of these adaptations seem to be doing well with both, critics and audiences accepting the trend warmly. Recent reports suggest that a television reboot of the 1990 classic, Tremors is in the works and in all likelihood, Kevin Bacon might be reprising his role 25 years later.
