Washington: Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the role of gay codebreaker Alan Turing during World War II in 'The Imitation Game', has said that he feels bad for prejudice and obstacles faced by gay leading men in Hollywood.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 38-year-old actor asserted that Turing was gay during a time when it was dangerous to be so and fell afoul of the U.K.'s then-laws, which made homosexual acts illegal.
