<p>The ideation of 'Ice Age: Collision Course' is suspect, the science isn't elegantly rendered, comic relief is minimal, the scripting takes the plot to outer-space and beyond and the dialogues don't really have the lightness of being exemplified by the first few outings</p>

Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel, continues to leave his mark on the world around him, this time round he gets into a space ship following his ever elusive acorn and sets the course for a collision that loosely re-imagines the Big Bang Theory. Meanwhile his friends on planet earth are trying to fend-off what seems like inevitable - the extinction of a species following yet another environmental catastrophe.
