The sisters are the second writing team to board the project.
Sony also has brought on Lucia Aniello and Paul W Downs, who are working on Comedy Central&iquest;s buzzy Broad City, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The "21 Jump Street" franchise, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, has done strong business for Sony.
The first two films have grossed more than USD 530 million worldwide. Sony is also planning a third installment in the Tatum-Hill franchise called "23 Jump Street", with Rodney Rothman writing the script.
