When Yash Chopra had offered Boney Kapoor a role in Sridevi-starrer 'Lamhe'

Yash Chopra Death Anniversary 2023: Boney Kapoor has been a producer in the Hindi film industry for four decades. Right from `Mr. India` to `Judaai` to `Wanted`, he has financially backed some extremely successful films. Earlier this year, the ace producer also ventured into acting with the film `Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar` where he was seen playing Ranbir Kapoor`s father and Dimple Kapadia`s husband. The film was directed by Luv Ranjan.
Talking about taking up acting, he told Times Of India in an interview that he was coaxed to take up the offer by his son Arjun Kapoor and his three daughters Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi. He said, “I had said no to Luv Ranjan. He reached out to Arjun, and he, along with my three daughters (Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi), convinced me to do it. Arjun told me that Ranjan had me as a reference point - that of a ‘Punjabi father` - when he wrote this part. So, he thought I was ideal for it."
