On the work-front, Kapoor has a web-series coming up directed by the duo Raj and DK. He also has the Jersey remake up. The film, also starring Sasha’s father, Pankaj Kapur, and Mrunal Thakur, chronicles the story of a talented but failed cricketer who decides to return to the field. The sports drama releases during Diwali on November 5. It is clashing at the box office with Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s historical, Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. In the movie`s Hindi remake, Shahid will be seen essaying the role of a cricket player. He had recently wrapped up shooting for the film.
