In May 2012, Vidya Balan had been nominated as the national brand ambassador for sanitation. Since then, she has been working towards the cause. In fact, she is currently on a tour of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to educate people on the importance of sanitation. Her target audience includes mainly those who do not have a toilet in their houses.

Vidya, who was in Patna yesterday, is likely to deliver a speech in the presence of the chief ministers of both states, Nitish Kumar and Akhilesh Yadav. &ldquo;It will be attended by people from different villages. She has prepared herself thoroughly for the speech so that she is able to leave an impact that will consequently lead to positive changes in people&rsquo;s toilet habits,&rdquo; says a source.
The actor will be conducting more such activities to encourage sanitation in the country. Vidya confirms the news and says, &ldquo;I was happy to visit Patna for the first time to share with people the importance of hygiene and sanitation. I will go to Lucknow for the same.&rdquo;
