Veteran actor Arun Bali is no more. The legendary actor breathed his last on the morning of October 7 in Mumbai. He was 79. Reportedly, Bali was not keeping well for quite some time as he was suffering from a rare neuromuscular disease myasthenia gravis. It is an autoimmune disorder that occurs when one`s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues. For those suffering from myasthenia gravic, the body produces antibodies that block the muscle cells from receiving messages from the nerve cells.
Arun Bali had a successful career in both television and cinema. He essayed the role of Chief Minister of undivided Bengal, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, in the controversial and critically acclaimed 200 film `Hey Ram`. He is also known for paying Kunwar Singh in `Swabhimaan` and King Porus in the 1991 period drama `Chanakya`.
