Raj Kundra`s film `UT69` hit the theatres today. In the film, Kundra plays himself and narrates his time in the Arthur Road prison where he was kept as an undertrial in a pornography case. In July 2021, the businessman was booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act, and Information Technology Act for allegedly distributing and transmitting pornographic videos. He was granted anticipatory bail by the Supreme Court after serving one-and-a-half months in Arthur Jail.
With his film released in theatres, Kundra`s wife and actor Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram to cheer for her husband with a heartfelt note. Sharing a small clip from the movie where an emotional Kundra can be seen leaving the jail premises, Shilpa wrote, "My dearest Cookie, I know I say many things… but, this is something I want you to remember! YOU are special & brave, and I am soooo proud of you."
