The King's Speech emerged a winner at the Oscars 2011 yesterday. The film is based on how King George VI, played by Cloin Firth, overcame his stammer. It took home four awards, including the Best Actor and the Best Film. Prince Edward was made Prince of Wales, and Albert was second in line to the throne. &gt;&gt;u00a0After a dreadful public speech at British Empire Exhibition at Wembley on October 31, 1925, he began to see an Australian speech therapist. He delivered a successful opening address at Australia's Federal Parliament at Canberra in 1927.u00a0 &gt;&gt;u00a0After war broke out in September 1939, George VI and his wife resolved to stay in London. They narrowly escaped death when two German bombs exploded in a courtyard at Buckingham Palace whilst they were there.u00a0
