Taapsee Pannu has had a roaring rise as an actor in Bollywood ever since Baby happened with Neeraj Pandey in 2015. Ever since then, she has acted in films like Pink, Mulk, Soorma, Manmarziyaan, Thappad, Badla, Mission Mangal, Game Over, and Saand Ki Aankh.
But in an interview with Elle India, she said she knows she has a limited run at the movies as an actress and also reflects upon the pay disparity in the industry. She said, "As a female actor, I don`t get paid at par with my male counterparts. I am also aware that I have a limited prime run in the films, so I have to maximise on my time! I can`t afford to sit at home now that work is picking up after the pandemic-induced lull."
