Sooryavanshi: Akshay-Katrina's film earns Rs 77.08 crore in 3 days at the BO

Though Sooryavanshi encountered a minor drop in collections on Saturday, by Sunday, it bounced back and sent off the Diwali weekend with Rs 77.08 crore in its kitty

With its dazzling star cast including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, action-packed storyline, and producer-director Rohit Shetty`s Midas touch, Sooryavanshi has lit up the box-office, netting Rs 77.08 crore on the opening weekend. Though the film encountered a minor drop in collections on Saturday, by Sunday, it bounced back and sent off the Diwali weekend with Rs 70-80 crore in its kitty. The story is similar to that of Shetty`s 2017 film "Golmaal Again".
Talking about the impressive numbers, senior trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Sooryavanshi brings joy, hope, confidence, optimism back… Emerges a #Diwali gift for the industry… RUNS RIOT at #BO on Day 3… Proves *yet again*: Well-made entertainers will NEVER go out of fashion... Fri 26.29 cr, Sat 23.85 cr, Sun 26.94 cr. Total: ₹ 77.08 cr. #India biz."
