Sonam Wangchuk, on whom Aamir Khan`s character in 3 Idiots was based has shared his perspective on the Rajkumar Hirani-directorial

Rajkumar Hirani`s directorial `3 Idiots` is one of the most iconic and memorable films to come from Hindi cinema. Starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Boman Irani among others, the film struck a chord with the audience and left a significant impact internationally. It also connected with the audience in countries like China and South Korea. The film, especially Aamir KHan`s character of Rancho was inspired by the life of engineer, innovator and education reformist Sonam Wangchuk.
Sonam Wangchuk, in a recent interview with The Lallantop shared his perspective on `3 Idiots`. He also said that he did not completely relate to the character portrayed by Aamir Khan. He said, “Yes, I have watched the film. It was a nice film with a good message.”
