Sharmila Tagore was one of the leading Bollywood actress for over three decades. Mother of actors Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan, Sharmila made her debut in Satyajit Ray`s Apur Sansar (The World of Apu). She went to star in several Bollywood hits like Kashmir Ki Kali, Anupama, An Evening in Paris, Aradhana, Amar Prem, Chupke Chupke and Aa Gale Lag Jaa.
However, the actress also had a fair share of controversies. She was the first Indian actress to appear in a bikini in films and also in several magazines. Now, in a recent interview, the actress talked about what she felt during that time and the reaction she faced. Speaking to Film Companion, Tagore said, "My life choices, looking back, have been unconventional. Like the bikini shot for Filmfare in 1966, that people don`t ever let me forget."
