As Spitfire’s latest EP drops online, Ranveer Singh proud to back rapper since their Gully Boy days.

Spitfire and Ranveer Singh
His performance as a street rapper in Gully Boy (2019) was deeply personal to Ranveer Singh. One to firmly believe that the indigenous music played a big role in the success of the Zoya Akhtar-directed film, the actor soon threw his weight behind Spitfire, who had composed and penned Asli hip hop. Singh took Nitin Mishra aka Spitfire under his wing when he launched his record label IncInk.
As the rapper’s latest EP Partein releases today, it has already found an admirer in the actor. “It features one of my favourite tracks, Zalzala. When I am in the gym, the number gets me pumped up. This EP speaks of Nitin’s versatility, his fearlessness and his spirit,” says Singh, who has been discovering and championing local music and artistes through his label.
