Ranveer Singh's 'Don 3' to be most expensive film in the franchise

Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is all set to take his movie `Don 3` on floors later this year. The torch is now being passed to none other than Ranveer Singh, who steps into the shoes of Shah Rukh Khan to take on the role of the new Don. This legendary figure once again finds himself in the crosshairs of the relentless `11 mulkon ki police` (police of 11 countries). The next installment of `Don` is also said to outshine SRK`s `Don` in terms of budget.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, `Don 3` is being mounted on a staggering budget of Rs 275 crore. Quoting a source close to the project, the portal reported, "Don 1 and Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan were made on decent budgets, but with Don 3, Farhan Akhtar aims to make a global film. The vision with Don 3 is not just to compete with action films of India, but also to go global on the scale front. Don 3 is Farhan`s attempt to make a global action thriller and no one better than Ranveer Singh to spearhead the franchise in the new era."
