Varma, 51, had initiated the fight by poking fun at Johar&#39;s 2012 hit film &#39;Student Of The Year&#39; on Teachers&#39; Day. &quot;If someone takes off from Karan Johar&#39;s &#39;Student of the year&#39; and makes Teacher of the year it will become the Disaster of the year,&quot; RGV had tweeted. Johar had promptly tweeted, &quot;Disaster of the year is your territory Ramu... no one can ever replace the comfortable place you have made for yourself there.&quot; It was not for the first time that the two filmmakers fought on Twitter. In 2010, RGV had made fun of Johar&#39;s &#39;My Name is Khan&#39;. Johar has collaborated with Disney-UTV for the Ritesh Batra directed &#39;The Lunchbox&#39;, which hits theatres on September 10 with 600 prints in India. The director, who is famous for his larger-than-life take on romance, said he decided to attach himself to the film because he was envious of its simplicity. &quot;I envy that the film was not completely mine, envy that it had the most beautiful writing and a simple story told in a way that I could never write. So I decided to substitute envy with acknowledgement. If you can&#39;t beat them, join them.&quot; Johar admits that he is incapable of making simple films but says as a producer he wants to nurture such projects and learn from new directors. &quot;Every film is a new mistake. Looking back I find, &#39;Kuch Kuch Hota Hai&#39; a ridiculous story, when I see &#39;Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham&#39;, I think it is 35 minutes too long, &#39;Kal Ho Naa Ho&#39;, I wish I had changed the end..., &#39;Student of the Year&#39;, I wish it had more of emotional intensity,&quot; he said.
